Course Description
This is a one year full-time Post Leaving Certificate course to prepare students for employment in the property management sector and for progression to further study.
Property management and the rental / letting sector is a growth area in Ireland.
By the end of the year, students will have clear understanding of the procedures and legislation involved in the rental market including Property Standards, Registration, Finance, the day-to-day running of property, the Residential Tenancies Act 2004, Building Energy Rates, Taxation.
Students will also have an understanding of a comprehensive range of modern business functions such as IT, Economics, Law and Marketing.
As part of the course, students are required to gain practical experience by working for two weeks in a property-related environment.

Graduates have a number of options:
- Degree links - including property related courses in Higher Education Institutes including Dublin Institute of Technology
- Degree courses in the UK, for example Degree in Estate Management at Heriot-Watt University, Scotland
- Take up employment in a Property-related discipline
